Customers assume upon purchasing a new vehicle, that it is a requirement to have their new car serviced by the dealership in order to comply with the terms of the warranty. Despite what you are led to believe, this is not the case!

As a car owner, you have the right to take your car to any licenced garage or mechanic for servicing, but you must ensure that the servicing is carried out exactly as per the manufacturer’s servicing schedule. This includes ensuring that your vehicle service is carried out on time and genuine parts or lubricants specified by the manufacturer are used.

So the good news is, you need not fork out for main dealer labour rates, or travel unnecessarily out of area when you can use your local garage!
